Hi there, glad you’ve found my blog!
This is my first post and so I’ll try to be brief. My primary goal with starting this is to continue holding myself accountable making real changes in my life and the lives of others. I was repeatedly frustrated, and failed more times than I can remember… but I was determined to not go quietly in to the night… I found my “why”… and was prepared to do absolutely anything to transform myself in to what I want to be. I’m here to tell you that you too can be what you have always wanted to be, you just might not have all the right tools and info yet, and you need a strategy to get there. I might not have all those things, but I know where to start. So let’s go — together.
This will be where I will chronicle all I’ve learned through my weight loss journey so that it can be easily shared it as a resource for friends, family and people I will never meet who all share a common “what” – we are challenged with our ability to make change, and more specifically, with sustainable weight loss. We all need accountability to make our goals a reality. My journey is one I have no delusions of ever completing, it will continue forever. I am passionate to help you get started on the right path, the same way I needed help. Plus we’ll have fun on the way!

I’ve spent the last 2 years of my life (ages 32-34) cleaning up my environment, lifestyle, and diet. In November 2017, I started a ketogenic diet, where I also incorporated intermittent and extended fasting to reach my weight loss goals. I’ve since made new goals, as continuous improvement is another passion of mine.
Prior to making this lifestyle change, I always found myself in search of ways to improve my health and lose weight. I became a new father in May 2017, and could not accept what most my friends would say is the ‘standard course’ of fatherhood: the slow deterioration of my only real assets in life… my body and my mind.
Through this time, I have learned much about nutrition, and what lies we have all been “fed”. I’ve experimented with strategies to see what worked for me, and have successfully broken free of what I now know is legitimate “food addiction”, something most of us suffer from without even knowing. You probably think it’s normal… constant hunger, a generally poor relationship with food, and mysterious inability to lose any significant weight. I am very excited to share all I’ve experienced with you!
While not the most dramatic transformation on the internet, in my circle of friends it is a colossal and unprecedented one. I’ve lost 40lb of fat (so far) by making simple (but at the time seemingly drastic) changes to my lifestyle. My future posts will detail the elements I changed… ranging from practical advice to more abstract principles changes
So where do we go from here?
